Atkinson and Associates
Janice Atkinson started the practice, operating as a sole trader from an office in Market St, Hastings.
1993
Early 1990s (Founding period)
Peter Hensman & Stephen Shepherd who had been working alongside Janice were made partners, and the partnership Atkinson Shepherd Hensman was formed.
1995
Relocation
Relocated to a larger office, close to the prior one and still on Market St, Hastings.
1997
Atkinson Shepherd Hensman Limited
The partnership transitioned into a company with Janice, Peter and Stephen as directors, the company name was Atkinson Shepherd Hensman Limited.
1998
Company renamed to Shepherd Hensman Limited
Janice Atkinson resigned as a director and the company was renamed Shepherd Hensman Limited.
2007
Doug Bradshaw became a director
Doug Bradshaw (who initially joined the practice in 2013) became a director.
2017
Ilana White became a director
Ilana White became a director and operated in this role up until 2024.
2021
Rachel Bashnick became a director
Rachel Bashnick was appointed a director having joined the firm in 2020.
2022
Stephen Shepherd resigned as a director
Stephen Shepherd resigned as a director and moved into a role as consultant.

Scott Blunsdon became a director
Scott Blunsdon (after coming on board in 2017) was appointed director.
